Supplier Diversity
Diversity can be a catalyst for innovative thinking, entrepreneurial spirit and building thriving communities. For us, diversity includes reaching out to various universities to fill critical roles within our company and partnering with a variety of businesses that provide services and supplies.
Our Supplier Diversity Program encourages small and minority-owned businesses to provide competitive bids for the materials and services we need. And we’re always looking to build our network of diverse businesses with partners who understand and meet our industry requirements.
If you own a small business that falls under one of the following categories, you may be eligible for our supplier diversity program:
- Small businesses
- Small disadvantaged businesses
- Minority-owned businesses
- Women-owned businesses
- HUB-Zone businesses
- Veteran-owned businesses
- Service-disabled veteran-owned businesses
We encourage the small businesses interested in working with us to register their contact information using our online registration form. This form just gives us the basic supplier information we need to identify a business when we source for bidding opportunities, but it’s not a commitment that we’ll purchase anything from any one company. It does, however, give us the resources to identify a business if opportunities become available.
Would you like to learn more before registering? No problem. Follow these steps to see if this opportunity is right for you.
Step 1: Do I qualify as a small, disadvantaged or minority-owned supplier?
Step 2: Do I offer the products and or services that Black Hills uses?
Step 3: Do I need to be certified to be considered diverse?
Step 4: Complete supplier registration form.
