Program Manager, Community Affairs/Economic Development, Colorado Electric

A native of Pueblo, Colorado, Julie joined the Black Hills Energy team in early 2013. Her diverse background includes more than 15 years of community relations, fundraising, marketing, and management experience. She previously worked for the Bessemer Historical Society/Steelworks Museum, Colorado State University – Pueblo, the Democratic National Convention Committee, the City of Denver, Colorado School of Mines and Metropolitan State University of Denver. 

Her role on the External Affairs team is to provide community relations support for the 53 electric and gas communities in the Colorado service territory. Her activities in this area include managing corporate charitable contributions, communications, employee involvement and economic development.

Julie is a 2012 graduate of Leadership Pueblo and a 2010 graduate of the Harvard JFK School of Government Executive Leadership Program. She serves on a variety of community and nonprofit boards.
