Generation & Production

A little history about our generation
Since we were incorporated on Aug. 24, 1941, our growth has been steady and continuous. Our sales of electricity have increased by more than 12 times, and our number of electric customers has more than doubled. And despite this growth, the average cost per kilowatt hour to our customers has decreased nearly 33 percent.
Our generation facilities — some of which we own completely, others of which we share ownership — produced hundreds of megawatts of power for our customers. Any excess power we produce we generally sell on the open market.
