Black Hills is in good shape to comply with EPA plan at a reasonable cost

by Kelsey

Hopefully, the Environmental Protection Agency creates and enforces good rules. Of course, sometimes it’s hard to tell if they're getting it right every time. Energy Mommy Sarah Folsland recently addressed this issue on Keeping Energy Affordable in a three-part series about the EPA’s Clean Power Plan.

In June 2014, the EPA shared a draft rule that would require states to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. Some are saying that this latest round of EPA rules would completely change how utilities decide how to make the energy we need, which led Sarah to ask Black Hills Corp. what we’re doing in response to the EPA’s proposed “Clean Power Plan.” The answer? A lot, actually. Learn more about our financially sound strategy of building state-of-the-art power generation on keepingenergyaffordable.com.
