Breaking ground on our new corporate headquarters

Despite the rainy weather in Rapid City on Tuesday, we had a successful groundbreaking event for our new corporate headquarters. More than 80 community, state and Black Hills Corp. leaders attended a brief ceremony out at the construction site.

Planning to power over a million bikers

For the past week, there’s been a constant rumble throughout the Hills as hundreds of thousands of bike enthusiasts — maybe more than a million — converged on the small town of Sturgis, South Dakota, for the 75th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

The Ben French Power Plant has been a reliable source of electricity for customers of Black Hills Power as well as a Rapid City landmark for more than 50 years. It was a pivotal asset to the region’s economic growth and public welfare.
