Black Hills Corporation Announces Quarterly Dividend and Schedules Second Quarter 2008 Conference Call

RAPID CITY, SD — August 4, 2008 — At a meeting held July 30, 2008, the board of directors of Black Hills Corporation (NYSE: BKH) declared quarterly dividends on the common stock.

Common shareholders will receive 35 cents per share. Dividends will be payable Sept. 1, 2008, to all shareholders of record at the close of business on Aug. 15, 2008.

The company will issue a news release regarding second quarter 2008 financial results on Monday, Aug. 11, 2008 and a conference call and webcast is scheduled for 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday, Aug. 12. The conference call and webcast will be open to the public.
