RAPID CITY, SD—March 20, 2008—Black Hills Corporation (NYSE: BKH) announced that Victoria J. “Tori” Campbell, long-time Managing Director of Producer Services at Enserco Energy Inc. will be promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Enserco Energy, effective April 11, 2008.
Ms. Campbell comes to this position with 17 years of energy industry experience including six years at Enserco. In her new position, Campbell will lead all Enserco Energy operations, which include producer services, end-use origination services and proprietary marketing services.
Campbell currently is responsible for the producer services division of Enserco. This business function assists natural gas and oil producers throughout the Rocky Mountain and Great Plains regions who benefit from Campbell’s transportation and marketing expertise to source commodities efficiently and competitively into national energy markets. In addition, she has been a key marketing strategist for Black Hills Exploration & Production, the Company’s oil and gas production subsidiary. Her expertise includes other aspects of energy marketing, human resource development, business strategy and risk management.
David R. Emery, Chairman, President and CEO of Black Hills Corporation, said, “We welcome Tori Campbell to her new role as head of energy marketing. As a key leader of the Enserco team, she is well-qualified and ready to oversee our marketing operations. Ms. Campbell graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. degree in business administration. Through her career experience and our concerted succession planning efforts, she has gained thorough knowledge of the energy industry and a seasoned, intuitive understanding of energy market conditions.”
Campbell will replace Kurt Kittleson, who is voluntarily stepping down as the head of Enserco. Mr. Kittleson said, “After 11 years at Enserco, including six as Vice President and General Manager, I am very proud of our accomplishments. I have decided to resign to allow me more time to focus on many unmet personal objectives. I am fortunate to have worked with a team of exceptional individuals at both Enserco and Black Hills Corporation, and am confident they will continue to build upon the past successes of the organization.”
Emery said, “Kurt Kittleson was among the first employees of Enserco when it was established in the mid-1990s. His success and ambition very naturally led to his promotion to lead energy marketing operations in 2002. We thank him for his many years of service and solid contribution to our Company.”
Since 1996, Enserco has established regional energy marketing prominence by concentrating on storage and transportation strategies and by focusing geographically on the Rocky Mountains, West, Midcontinent and Canada. Black Hills Corporation is a diversified energy company. Our retail businesses are Black Hills Power, an electric utility serving western South Dakota, northeastern Wyoming and southeastern Montana; and Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power, an electric and gas distribution utility serving the Cheyenne, Wyoming vicinity.
